Joel Stone

Joel Stone is curator for the Detroit Historical Society, which oversees the Detroit Historical Museum, the Dossin Great Lakes Museum, and the artifactual collection of the City of Detroit. Raised in the Detroit area, he has studied journalism, history, archaeology, and archival management at the University of Detroit, Wayne State University, and the University College Cork, Ireland. He supports a number of regional history organizations, and is a board member of the Association for Great Lakes Maritime History.
